Summer library program registration opens June 6

The Mount Pleasant library takes children ages 4 – 12 on a reading adventure this summer with a program titled "One World, Many Stories."

Registration opens Monday, June 6, and can be done at the main library in Pleasantville or the branch in Valhalla, in person or by phone. E-mail registration is also available at children@mountpleasantlibrary.com. Include each child's name, address, age, grade in September and which library you will use most often this summer.

A special event to kick off the program will take place June 27, with the Sciencetellers telling the tale of Wizards: The Race Around the World, to explain the science of illusions. The kick-off will be at the main library in Pleasantville, with performances at 2 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. The event is free, but tickets are required, and will be available at both libraries starting Monday, June 6.

To register by phone and for more information, call the Mount Pleasant Public Library at (914) 769-0548 ext. 3, or the Valhalla branch at (914) 741-0276.
