This Week in Mount Pleasant

MOUNT PLEASANT, N.Y. – Each week there are multiple public meetings in the Town of Mount Pleasant.  These meetings are ways for residents to stay informed about recent developments in the town, and to also get involved in the community.  Here is a quick list of what is scheduled to take place this week. 

-On Monday, the Mount Pleasant Central School District will hold a coffee and questions session with Superintendent Susan Guiney for parents in the district to learn more about the 2012-13 school budget.  The session will be held at 11 a.m. at the Mount Pleasant Community Center in Valhalla. 

-Also on Monday, the Mount Pleasant Recreation and Parks Commission will meet at Town Hall at 7 p.m.  No agenda for this meeting has yet been posted.

-Wednesday, the Mount Pleasant Central School District Board of Education will hold a public work session at the Westlake High School Library at 7:30 p.m.  The main agenda item for the session will be a budget overview.

-The Mount Pleasant Zoning Board of Appeals meeting originally scheduled for Thursday evening has been cancelled.  No makeup date has been scheduled.  The board’s next regular meeting will take place on March 8.
