MOUNT PLEASANT, N.Y. Each week there are important meetings and events that residents of Mount Pleasant should attend. These meetings can be great ways to get involved in the community and to also stay informed on what is happening within Mount Pleasant. Here is a list of meetings and events going on this week.
On Monday evening, there will be a Mount Pleasant Planning Board meeting. The board will meet at 8 p.m. in the court room at town hall in Valhalla. Some key items currently on the agenda for Mondays meeting are public hearings for renovations made to Pace University and a site-plan approval for a retaining wall on 37 Saw Mill River Road around the perimeter of the property in the flood zone. On Thursday evening, the Architectural Review Board will meet at 8 p.m. in the court room at town hall in Valhalla. On the agenda are items to replace a sign at the Valhalla United Methodist Church. The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) are hosting information sessions this week in Mount Pleasant to inform residents on how they can reduce damage during future natural disasters. Members of FEMA will be at the Home Depot on 1 Saw Mill River Road in Hawthorne from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Wednesday.
