Toy And Coat Drives, Leaf Pick-up Tops Briarcliff Manor Manager's Report

BRIARCLIFF MANOR, N.Y. - Briarcliff Manor Village Manager Philip Zegarelli recently released the following information:

Con Edison: The gas/main restoration currently in process will continue but no new projects will begin until late winter or early spring.

Treasury Department: The second installment of real estate tax is due Dec. 31. No additional bills will be mailed. Payment may be in person, placed in the drop box in the village hall parking lot, online at www.briarcliffmanor.org, or by mail by Dec. 31.

Police Department: The Police Benevolent Association is conducting a coat and toy drives to Dec. 18. Bring new or gently used winter coats and new unwrapped toys to the police headquarters, 1111 Pleasantville Road.

Recreation and Parks: Two platform tennis courts are open. Permits may be purchased by calling 941-6560.

There will be a holiday bonfire and sing-a-long in Law Park on Friday, Dec. 4 at 6 p.m.

Library and Community Center: Grow Your Business and Organization with Email and Social Media Marketing is offered Tuesday, Nov. 17 at 7 p.m. Then on Thursday, Nov. 19 at 6:30 p.m., Power Point for beginners is offered at 6:30 p.m. Register for both classes by email to sglick@wlsmail.org or call 941-7072.

Mayor and Board of Trustees. The Next M/BOT Board Session is Wednesday, Nov. 18, with a W/S at 7 p.m. Followed by a potential Executive Session of the BOT at 8 p.m.

Railroad Parking: Valet parking at Scarborough Railroad Station is not available on holidays throughout the year.

The Department of Public Works: Bagged leaves will be picked up from April 1 to Nov. 1 on your Recycle Wednesday. Then from Nov. 1 to Jan. 1 the pick-up will coincide with the bulk leaf pick-up in your area.
