Motorists on the Sprain Brook Parkway northbound had to deal with this traffic jam near the Hawthorne exit Thursday afternoon. The traffic started backing up at about 4 p.m. and has continued until at least 4:30 p.m.
Rain caused flooding on parkways throughout Westchester County Thursday but the Sprain Brook Parkway had not been directly affected as of 4 p.m.
The southbound traffic flowed smoothly while northbound drivers had to frequently hit their brakes as traffic slowed, then stopped.
