Traffic Returns To Commerce Street Crossing After Fatal Accident

VALHALLA, N.Y. – The intersection where Tuesday night's fatal train accident occurred reopened to traffic Thursday afternoon for the first time since the tragedy.

Cars were able to travel across the Commerce Street crossing north of the Metro-North train station Thursday at about 12:30 p.m. 

Service on Metro-North's Harlem River line also resumed Thursday morning.

Six people were killed early Tuesday evening when an SUV was struck by a Metro-North train.
