The district will hold its election from 6 to 9 p.m.  at the Valhalla Fire District Headquarters located at 330 Columbus Ave. in Valhalla. The purpose of the election is to elect one commissioner for a five-year term starting on Jan. 1, 2014 and ending Dec. 31, 2018, district representatives said in a notice. 

Only those who have registered with the County Board of Elections on or before Nov. 18 shall be eligible to vote.
