Town officials said that closure will not affect resident's regular mail service. However, those that need to pick up a package or registered letter, empty out their post office box or receive a last minute postmark for their Sept. 30 school tax bill, they will need to visit the North White Plains office (also called North Station) at 585 N Broadway, adjacent to the CVS parking lot.

Regular post office activities such as purchasing stamps and mailing packages can be done at the nearby Thornwood Post Office on Commerce Street or the Hawthorne Post Office on Cross Street.
