MOUNT PLEASANT, N.Y. The Westchester County Department of Public Safety advised the Mount Pleasant Police Department that a sex offender has recently moved into Mount Pleasant.Andre Jones, 46 of Valhalla, is a registered level-3 sex offender. Jones was convicted of 1st degree sexual abuse, a class D felony, in September of 2002 and sentenced to 18 months to 3 years in a New York State prison. Jones sexually abused a non-stranger 9-year-old female on more than one occasion.Jones is considered to be a sexually violent offender. He is currently residing at 25 Operations Drive in Valhalla, the Grasslands Homeless Shelter. Jones has also has gone by the alias Andre Sachmo.
