The building, which Katz nicknamed "ChapPAC," is located at Chappaqua Crossing. It was built on the campus when it was still the corporate headquarters of Reader's Digest and named after the publisher's co-founders, Lila and DeWitt Wallace.
The town acquired the auditorium last year from Chappaqua Crossing owner Summit/Greenfield, which is seeking to redevelop other parts of the campus with retail and housing.
Katz also wrote that the board appointed John Fanelli of Lighthouse Youth Theater to serve as a theatre manager.
"We interviewed many excellent candidates for this position and are thrilled that we were able to bring such a respected and successful artist like John to our community," Katz wrote. "John will be responsible for booking acts at the Performing Arts Center, as well as for managing the theater. John fully intends work with some phenomenal promoters to bring high end art, theater, dance, comedy and other events to ChapPAC."
Katz is involved with the auditorium due to her role on the town's Arts & Culture Committee.
