Westchester Community College Foundation Receives Philanthropy Award

MOUNT PLEASANT, N.Y. -- The Association for Fundraising Professionals (AFP) will honor the Westchester Community College Foundation (WCCF) Board of Directors with the AFP Leadership in Philanthropy Award on Thursday, Nov. 7.

The WCCF will receive the award at an all-day fundraising conference at the DoubleTree Hilton, 455 South Broadway, Tarrytown.

The event, starting at 7:45 a.m., is being held as part of AFP's National Philanthropy Day. It features internationally recognized experts in philanthropy and offers a wide range of workshops and educational programming.

Keynote speakers at the conference include Kenneth Berger, CEO of Charity Navigator, a global charity rating organization and Laura Fredricks, best-selling author and media personality.

The WCCF is nationally recognized as a leader in community college fundraising, and its Board of Directors is the force behind this success. Westchester Community College Foundation raises approximately $5 million dollars annually in support of student scholarships and other college needs not met by public funds.
