Hosting Virtual Job Fair

The Westchester One-Stop Employment Center is inviting businesses to participate in its Virtual Job Fair by registering and listing job openings at www.westchesterputnamonestop.com.

Those who register will be able to review the resumes and qualifications of screened customers of the One-Stop Employment Center, who they will be able to interview in person on June 21 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Westchester County Center, Central Park Avenue, White Plains.

The staff of the One-Stop is available to assist businesses with the job-matching and screening as well as scheduling of candidates to be interviewed.

Job openings should be posted by Friday, June 10. Business may call Clyde Jones at (914) 995-7504 or Milton David at (914) 995-8631 for additional information about the virtual job fair.

 The One-Stop Employment Center provide free resources and services to help jobs seekers and the under-employed prepare for, or to find, jobs. One-Stop customers have access to computers and workshops to help with their job search.

Businesses use the One-Stop Center to recruit qualified workers for positions and may qualify for a wage subsidy to assist with the retraining of new and current employees.

Please anyone who can help would be appreciated. I am looking for a job. Got laid off end September and have been on many interviews but going nowhere. I need an office asst. position even if it is part time. Just need enough to live on. Going thru my retirement savings and will have nothing left soon. My Cobra is $600 a month.
