Fragola's father was recently diagnosed with terminal cancer, and she's hoping to get a chance to speak to the Pope.

“…if I could, I would like ask the pope if he could just maybe say a prayer for my father. It would just mean the world to me,” she says.

Fragola will meet the Pope on Sept. 25, as part of his visit to Our Lady Queen of Angels School in East Harlem.

The New York Archdiocese picked students for their academic achievements and active participation in campus ministry and community service programs.
