MOUNT PLEASANT, N.Y. Here is a list of events taking place this weekend in the Mount Pleasant area, including a special event at the Jacob Burns Film Center.
Friday, April 13
Stone Barns Tour 11 a.m. Take an inside look at the facilities of the Stone Barns Center in Pocantico Hills. This tour includes a look at the greenhouses, livestock facilities and gardens. Admission is $15 for adults and $9 for children.
Saturday, April 14
Town Cleanup Day 9 a.m., Carroll Park. The Town of Mount Pleasant will hold its annual Town Cleanup Day. The event is sponsored by the Mount Pleasant Beautification Foundation and the Thornwood Lions Club. All are welcome to the event, and registration is not required.
Sunday, April 15
Farmers market 1 p.m. 4 p.m. The Stone Barns Center in Pocantico Hills will have its final Winter Farmers Market in the hay barn. Pick up goods such as fruits, vegetables and fresh meats.
Documentary film 5 p.m. Special viewing of the documentary "Deaf Jam" as part of the Westchester Jewish Film Festival at the Jacob Burns Film Center in Pleasantville. This film explores the life of poets Aneta Brodski, who is deaf, and Tahani Salah. After the movie, there will be a Q&A session with Brodski and Salah along with filmmaker Judy Lieff. Admission is $6 for members and $11 for nonmembers.
