What's Happening in Mount Pleasant This Weekend

MOUNT PLEASANT, N.Y. – A tour of the Stone Barns Center, a homemade wine competition and a firefighters recruitment drive are some of the events planned for this weekend in Mount Pleasant.

Friday, April 20

Toddler Time: 10:15 a.m. Enjoy toddler story time at the Mount Pleasant Public Library. Children will learn to enjoy books through finger plays, songs and other interactive lessons. Free and open to the public.

Insiders Tour: 11 a.m. Take an inside look at the facilities of the Stone Barns Center in Pocantico Hills. Explore the greenhouses, livestock area and gardens  Admission is $18 for adults and $12 for children.

Saturday, April 21

Winemakers Challenge: 6 p.m. Enjoy a five-course meal and homemade wine competition sponsored by the Thornwood Lions Club at Prospero winery. All proceeds support Mount Pleasant organizations. Price is $75 for dinner and $25 to enter your homemade wine for competition and awards.

Sunday, April 22

Recruitment Drive: 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Stop by the Hawthorne Fire Department if you’re interested in joining the volunteer firefighting force. All members of the community are welcome. The department is looking to add new members.
