Winter Storm Nemo Hits Mount Pleasant

VALHALLA, N.Y. - Winter storm Nemo hit the Mount Pleasant area Friday morning and with the storm expected to carry over into Saturday many key places in town are closing early.

Mount Pleasant Town Hall, the Mount Pleasant Public Library in Pleasantville and the Branch Library in Valhalla will all be closed as of noon on Friday. 

The Pleasantville Farmers Market, scheduled for Saturday at Pleasantville Middle School, is also canceled due to the storm.

Schools within the Valhalla School District were closed Friday and schools within the Mount Pleasant Central District were given an early dismissal. All school activities for Friday and Saturday are also canceled. 

Westlake Middle School's performance of "Seussical Jr.," originally scheduled for Friday night, will be rescheduled for Sunday evening at 6 p.m. The Westlake boys basketball game originally scheduled for Friday night will be rescheduled for Monday, Feb. 11 at Briarcliff.
