VALHALLA, N.Y. Anna Sorrentino of Valhalla died Aug. 30 at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla. She was 88.
Sorrentino was born Feb. 4, 1924, in Realmonte, Agrigento, Italy to Giuseppe and Francesca Tortorici Licata. She was married to Dominick Sorrentino, who survives her.
She is also survived by three children, John (Maria) Sorrentino, of Danbury, Conn., Elvira (Joseph) Sorrentino-Thomas and Frances Ann Sorrentino, both of Thornwood; two brothers, Rosario and Carmelo (Rosetta) Licata, of Italy; and a sister, Giovanna Licata, of Italy; six grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Sorrentino was predeceased by three brothers and a sister.
Visiting hours are from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Hawthorne Funeral Home. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at Holy Rosary Church in Hawthorne. Burial will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne.
