THORNWOOD, N.Y. Antoinette Zambito of Thornwood died Sept. 18 at Calvary Hospital in Bronx, N.Y. She was 73.
Born Jan. 9, 1939, in New York City, she was the daughter of Pompeo and Antoinette Dalassandro Gelormini. She worked for Carl Zeiss Inc. in Thornwood as a bookkeeper for 12 years. She was a member of the Mount Pleasant Seniors.
Zambito is survived by her husband, Peter Zambito, of Thornwood; two daughters, Janice (Ernest) Calcagni, of Thornwood, and Louise (Joel) LaFleur, of Putnam Valley; three sisters, Josephine Giardiello, of Thornwood, Carmela Tudda, of West Patterson, N.J., and Theresa Gelormini, of the Bronx; and four grandchildren. A sister, Mary Loreto, predeceased her.
Visitation is from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at Hawthorne Funeral Home. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at Holy Rosary Church in Hawthorne. Burial will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or Rosary Hill Home in Hawthorne.
