Betty Lee Suarez, 99, Of Fleetwood, Retired From Valhalla Public Schools

VALHALLA, N.Y. – Betty Lee Suarez, 99, a longtime Valhalla resident and most recently a resident of Fleetwood, died Monday, March 30.

She was born Dec. 23, 1915, in Pittsburgh, to the late Arthur and Clare Donado.

Suarez worked as a secretary and a treasurer for the Valhalla Union Free School District.

She was a member of the Valhalla Methodist Church and the Valhalla Women’s Club.

Survivors include one son, Richard (Carol) Suarez; one daughter, Linda Suarez; three grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Her husband, Tino Suarez; and one brother, Cedric Donado, preceded her in death.

Calling hours will be from 2-6 p.m. Sunday at the Ballard-Durand Funeral Home, 2 Maple Ave., White Plains.
