Comedian and actor Kevin Meaney, a Valhalla native, has died at the age of 60, according to multiple news reports.
Meaney, whose career included numerous appearances on HBO, “Saturday Night Live” and “The Tonight Show” with Johnny Carson, was found unresponsive at his Forestburgh home Friday, with the cause of death not immediately known, according to CNN.
Meaney, who also starred in the 1990 sitcom “Uncle Buck,” and on Broadway in “Hairspray,” is best remembered for the catchphrase “That’s not right.”
The third of five children, Meaney was born in 1956 in Valhalla.
He was married twice, with his marriage to Leanne S. Fader in 1995 annulled the same year. He married television executive Mary Ann Halford in 1997, divorcing in 2008, soon after Meaney said he was gay. They had one daughter.
