VALHALLA, N.Y. Elizabeth "Betty" A. McGrath of Valhalla died Oct. 12 at White Plains Hospital Center. She was 71.
McGrath was born Jan. 4, 1941, in Bronx, N.Y., to Charles and Anna Busch. She worked as an accountant for Campus Premium Car Dealership in New Rochelle.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Lloyd Abrams, in 1992 and a stepson, Thomas McGrath, in 2002. McGrath is survived by her second husband, Thomas Joseph McGrath, of Valhalla; four sons, Lloyd (Tammi) Abrams, of Anthem, Ariz., Lon (Patricia) Abrams, of Bloomington, Ill., Lorne (Stacey) Abrams, of South Glens Falls, N.Y., and Lowel (Starr) Abrams, of Cobleskill, N.Y.; two stepsons, Patrick (Patricia) McGrath, of Dover Plains, N.Y., and Joseph (Nicole) McGrath, of Tuckahoe; a brother, Charles (Cathy) Busch, of Cape Coral, Fla.; a sister, Ruth (Edward) Purinton, of Hudson Falls, N.Y.; 10 grandchildren and a step-grandchild.
Visitation is from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Hawthorne Funeral Home . A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Name of Jesus Church in Valhalla. Burial will be held Thursday at Morningside Cemetery in Hartford.
