He was predeceased by his father Frank Thorne and sister Barbara Grant.
He is survived by his mother Eliza Thorne.
He leaves to mourn his companion Joy (Pilgram); children Tamara (Eric), Deleena (David), Paul (Chanda) and Tyler; seven grandchildren; sisters Shirley, Carol, Valerie (Bob); and brothers Cec (Linda), David (Judy), Harold (Sharon) and Rick (Mary).
Gordon served in the the military with the rank of warrant officer.
