HAWTHORNE, N.Y. - Hazel B. Fossella, most recently of Hawthorne, and Toms River, N.J., and a former longtime resident of New Rochelle, died Nov. 24. She was 93.
Fossella was born Aug. 8, 1921, to Howard and Alice Flood in Bakersfield, Vt.
Fossella is survived by her daughters, Jackie (Bruce) Swansen of Toms River, N.J.; Diane (Gerry) Jacobsen of Dobson, N.C.; Darlene (Artie) Torres of Yorktown Hgts.; Donna (Ernie) Carpentieri of Hawthorne and Debbie (Lenny) Carpentieri of Hawthorne; 17 grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Marcello (Jack) Fossella.
Calling hours are from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 30 at the Hawthorne Funeral Home, 21 W. Stevens Ave. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 1 at the Holy Rosary Church, 170 Bradhurst Ave. in Hawthorne. Interment will be at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 10 W. Stevens Ave. in Hawthorne.
