THORNWOOD, N.Y. - Maria (Mary) Sabino, longtime resident of Thornwood, and formerly of the Bronx, died Nov. 20. She was 86.
Sabino was born Jan. 1, 1927, to Vito and Assunta (nee Marino) Filippi in the Bronx.
Sabino is survived by her husband, Michael Sabino of Thornwood; daughter, Susan Sabino (Lawrence) Smith of Thornwood; a grandson; and two great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents; daughter, Regina Sabino; three sisters; and three brothers.
Calling hours are Saturday, Nov. 23 from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Hawthorne Funeral Home where funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
