THORNWOOD, N.Y. - Mary Rothwell, a long time resident of Thornwood, died May 26. She was 96.
Rothwell was born July 25, 1916. She retired from the Bank of New York in 1993 after many years of service. She was a parishioner of Holy Rosary Parish in Hawthorne.
Rothwell is survived by son, Thomas Rothwell of Payson, Ariz.; brother, George Collins (Theresa Rothwell) of Greenwich, Conn.; five grandchildren; nine great grandsons; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her mother-in-law, Elizabeth Rothwell.
Calling hours are Thursday, May 30 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Hawthorne Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, May 31 at Holy Rosary Church, Hawthorne. Interment, Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne.
