Natalie Elizabeth Maddalena, 95, Longtime Valhalla Resident

VALHALLA, N.Y. - Natalie Elizabeth Maddalena, a longtime resident of Valhalla, died March 19. She was 95.

Maddalena was born Sept. 9, 1917, in the Bronx to Maria and Rosario Mirenda.

Maddalena was an advocate for veterans and their families as well as in other civic and community issues.

She was a parishioner at the Holy Name of Jesus parish in Valhalla, was a member of the Holy Rosary Society at Holy Name, the Ladies Auxiliary of American Legion Post # 1574 and the Gold Star Wives of America.

Maddalena is survived by children, Frank (Robin) of Scarsdale and Maria of Cape Coral; two grandchildren and their mother, Kathleen; a step-grandson; two great grandsons. She was predeceased by her husband, Frank.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, April 6 at 10 a.m. at Holy Name of Jesus, Valhalla, N.Y. with internment to follow at St. Raymond's Cemetery, Bronx, N.Y.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Maddalena’s name to Holy Name of Jesus, the Franciscan Sisters of the Atonement, Graymoor, N.Y, American Legion Post #1574, or Hope Hospice of Cape Coral, Florida.
