HAWTHORNE, N.Y. - Nicholas G. Finelli of Hawthorne died June 8. He was 60.
Finelli was born Nov.10, 1952, to William and Teresa (nee Catero) Finelli in New York City. He served in the U.S. Army from 1975 to 1978. He was a police officer with NYPD in the 43rd precinct for over 30 years until present. He was a long time member of The Brigade of the American Revolution 2nd N.Y. regiment.
Finelli is survived by his mother, Teresa Finelli of Eastchester; his wife, Lucy (nee Berrois) Finelli of Hawthorne; sons, Nicholas J.(Alissa) Finelli of Lincoln, Neb., and Jonathan T. Finelli of Hawthorne; brothers, Michael (Livia) Finelli of Warwick, and John (Milena) Finelli of Bellemore; and a grandson.
Calling hours are Tuesday, June 11 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. in the Hawthorne Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 12 at the Holy Rosary Church, Hawthorne.
