VALHALLA, N.Y. - Norma Mercaldi of Valhalla, and formerly of Bronx, died Oct. 26. She was 86.
Mercaldi was born Jan. 24, 1928, to Frank and Nancy Embrogno in NYC. She was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Seniors.
Mercaldi is survived by her children, Philip (Noreen) Mercaldi of Queens, John (Bridget) Mercaldi of Valhalla, Nancy (Steven) Schoener of Hawthorne, and Maria (Robert) Koziak of Hawthorne; sister, Nancy DeMizio of Valhalla; 11 grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Philip Mercaldi; and sisters, Mary and Fanny.
Calling hours are Thursday, Oct. 30 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Hawthorne Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 31 at the Holy Name of Jesus Church, Valhalla. Interment at the Woodlawn Cemetery, Bronx.
