MOUNT PLEASANT, N.Y. -- Olga Blanche (nee Seward) died Tuesday, Sept. 22. She was 91.
She was predeceased by her parents, Thomas and Clementine Seward; siblings Elsie, Simeon, Edmund and Eric; first husband, Vincent Fitzgerald; daughter, Geraldine Kavanagh; second husband, John Butler; stepson, Glenn Butler; and brother, Hayward Seward.
She leaves behind her daughter, Dorothy (Frank) Handrigan; son, Bert (Paula Brocklehurst) Fitzgerald; son-in-law, John Kavanagh; sisters, Jane Smith and Lydia Greene; sister-in-law, Lizzie Seward; step-children, Ken (Daphne) Butler, Wayne Butler, Hedley (Jeannette) Butler, Glenda (Reg) Browne; step daughter-in-law, Kim Butler; as well as a large circle of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
A special thank you to niece, Marjorie Hiscock, as well as to the dedicated staff of the Hoyles Home and St. John’s Long Term Health Care Facility.
Visting hours will be from 7-9 p.m. Thursday at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Ave.
A funeral service will take place ta 10 a.m. Friday at St. James United Church with interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
Flowers will be gratefully accepted, or donations may be made to the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Care Centre.
