MAHWAH, N.J. - Ralph R. Benedict, Jr. most recently of Mahwah, N.J. and formerly of Hawthorne and White Plains, died Feb. 3. He was 58.
Benedict was born Sept. 16, 1955, to Ralph and Pauline (nee Meccariello) Benedict in White Plains. He was a tax attorney for many years with IBM in Armonk.
Benedict is survived by his children, Ralph Benedict, III and Isabella Benedict both of New Jersey.; brother, Frederick (Jane) Benedict of North White Plains and Hawthorne; nieces and nephews; several grand nieces and nephews; and brother-in-law, Benjamin DeFonce. He was predeceased by his parents; and sisters, Bernice DeFonce and Susan Benedict Kirtland.
Calling hours are Thursday, Feb. 13 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Hawthorne Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 14 at the Holy Rosary Church, Hawthorne. Interment will be private.
