THORNWOOD, N.Y. - Walter J. Hall of Thornwood died Feb.18. He was 82.
Hall was born June 30, 1931, to August and Margaret Hall in the Bronx. He graduated from Roosevelt High School in Yonkers. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and earned five bronze stars. He was the owner of Halls Refrigeration with his father in the Bronx and later was owner of Yonkers Golf Range in Yonkers.
Hall is survived by his son, Rick (Karen) Hall of Eastchester; a grandson; and a great grandson. He was predeceased by his parents; wife, Harriet Ann (nee Reilly) Hall; and sister, Margaret Bozza.
Calling hours are Thursday, Feb. 20 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Hawthorne Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 21 at the Holy Rosary Church, Hawthorne. Interment at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne.
