The purpose of the sweep was to apprehend several people wanted by the Sheriff's Department on outstanding arrest warrants issued by local justice courts on a variety of criminal charges.
Two of the defendants were wanted by other agencies.
The defendants and cases include:
- Ronald J. Brown, 32, of Mahopac, on a charge of criminally possessing a hypodermic instrument, a misdemeanor. Brown was committed to the Putnam County Correctional Facility in lieu of $1,000 cash bail or $2,000 bond, pending an appearance in Kent Justice Court on Tuesday, July 26.
- Fortune Macri, 58, of Pleasantville, on a charge of theft of services, a misdemeanor. Macri is scheduled to appear in Southeast Justice Court on Thursday, July 21.
- Louis DiPippo Jr., 61, of Hopewell Junction, on a charge of petty larceny, a misdemeanor. DiPoppo was committed to the Putnam County Correctional Facility in lieu of $2,500 cash bail or $5,000 bond, pending an appearance in Southeast Justice Court on Tuesday, July 5.
- Maura Purtill, 47, of Patterson, on a charge of driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor. She was released on her own recognizance, pending an appearance in Southeast Justice Court on Tuesday, July 5.
- Nicole Tharas, 36, of Kent, on a charge of aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, a misdemeanor. Tharas was released on her own recognizance, pending an appearance in Kent Justice Court on Tuesday, July 26.
- Adam Wilson, 40, of Patterson, on a charge of unlawful imprisonment, a misdemeanor. Wilson was committed to the Putnam County Correctional Facility in lieu of $400 cash bail, pending a future appearance in Patterson Justice Court.
- Jessica Price, 45, of Patterson, on a charge of aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, a misdemeanor. She was arraigned and released on her own recognizance, pending an appearance in Patterson Justice Court on Thursday.
- William Weber, 22, of Pawling, on a charge of unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation. Weber was released on his own recognizance, pending a future appearance in Southeast Justice Court.
- Devaughan Cleveland, 22, of Philipstown, on a charge of disorderly conduct, a violation. He was arraigned and released on his own recognizance, pending a future appearance in Philipstown Justice Court.
- Joseph Jamieson, 31, of Kent, was arrested in Lake Carmel on a warrant issued by Poughkeepsie City Court on a charge of false personation, a misdemeanor. He was turned over to the custody of Poughkeepsie police.
- Christian Larkin, 41, of Kent, on a warrant issued by Carmel Justice Court on a charge of driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor. Larkin was turned over to Carmel police.
If found guilty of the misdemeanor charges, the defendants could face up to a year in jail and a fine of up to $1,000 for each charge.
