A patron at a North Bedford Road health club reported on Tuesday, Jan. 16 to county police that someone took her car keys from her coat and stole multiple items from her car, including a wallet, credit cards, sunglasses and clothing.

Police said that the woman left her coat and keys in an unlocked locker during her workout when the items were stolen. The value of the stolen items was not disclosed by police.

Other items on the Mount Kisco Police blotter from Monday, Jan. 15 through Friday, Jan. 19 include:

  • County Police officers were dispatched to a Carlton Drive home following reports of an odor of smoke in the laundry room. Upon arrival, it was determined that the cause of the smell was smoldering lint in the trap of the dryer.
  • Con Edison crews were forced to make entry into several unoccupied homes on Friday, Jan. 19 to identify the source of a gas leak, following reports of the scent of gas. County Police and the Mount Kisco Fire Department responded to the scene to assist with the process.
  • Later that day, the owner of an East Main Street business reported later that someone had cashed a fraudulent check from his store for $3,877. The case has since been turned over to detectives for additional investigation.
