Hawthorne Man Arrested In Assault On Fourth

VALHALLA, N.Y. – Mount Pleasant Police arrested a Hawthorne man Wednesday on misdemeanor assault stemming from a Fourth of July domestic dispute. The man, 63, was charged with assault in the third degree with intent to cause physical injury to another person, according to police.  Mount Pleasant Police responded to the call around 11 p.m. Police say the incident involved the man’s wife and that alcohol played a factor. Due to the nature of the crime, police declined to release the man’s name or address.

Mount Pleasant Police say the arrest was the only one made on the fourth and that all other police activity was related to fireworks complaints.
