Man Caught Transporting Nearly 4 Pounds Of Pot In Hudson Valley

New York State Police troopers caught a man with nearly 4 pounds of marijuana during a late-night traffic stop in LaGrange.

Troopers on patrol shortly before 11 p.m. on Tuesday, May 8 stopped a Honda Accord on Noxon Road in LaGrange for violations of the vehicle and traffic law.

During the subsequent stop, troopers detected “a strong odor of marijuana” and further investigation revealed that the driver, Bronx resident Linval Robinson, 36, was in possession of an estimated 3.6 pounds of marijuana, leading to his arrest.

Robinson was charged with a felony count of second-degree criminal possession of marijuana. Following arraignment in LaGrange Justice Court, Robinson was remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $2,000 cash bail or $4,000 bond. He is due back in court on May 15 to answer the charge.
