Man Sexually Abuses Teen In Northern Westchester, Police Say

An employee at a mental health hospital in Cross River was arrested on sexual assault charges stemming from reported contact he had with a teenage patient, state police said.

Carmel resident Dominic Sbordone, 31, an employee at Four Winds Hospital, was arrested last week following an investigation into a report that he engaged in sexual contact with a 19-year-old patient, state police said on Tuesday.

Sbordone was charged with a felony count of third-degree criminal sexual act and second-degree sexual abuse, a misdemeanor.

According to police, Sbordone was arraigned before Judge Susan Simon in the Town of Lewisboro Court and remanded to the Westchester County Jail without bail. Simon also issued an Order of Protection directing Sbordone to have no contact with his alleged victim.

State police have asked anyone with information about Sbordone or the investigation to contact the Bureau of Criminal Investigation in Somers by calling (914) 769-2600.
