Man Who Fled Mount Pleasant Crash Scene Charged With DWI, Police Say

OSSINING, N.Y. -- New York State Police in Hawthorne charged an Ossining man with driving while intoxicated after allegedly fleeing the scene of a crash on the Sprain Brook Parkway on Friday, according to officials.

Darren K. Walker, 32, allegedly rear-ended a vehicle on the Sprain Brook Parkway and attempted the flee the scene. Troopers were notified of his location and allegedly found him intoxicated, police said.

Walker supplied police with a breath sample that yielded a blood alcohol content of .15 percent. He is due in Mount Pleasant Court on March 19, police said. 

The occupants in the vehicle Walker struck were taken to Westchester Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries, police said.
