A 16-year-old Verplanck girl who ran away from her home in January and was believed to have been seen in a BMW on Tuesday has been located in Westchester and is in good health, state police said Wednesday morning.
Samantha Lucero, who was first reported missing in June 2016, and again in January, has been seen in the Cortlandt area and was believed to have been with a man driving the car, according to Trooper Melissa McMorris, spokeswoman for the New York State Police.
The car had been seen in the Cortlandt area by a family member who believed the teen was a passenger in the car, McMorris said.
The driver was described as a Hispanic male, approximately 20 years old, state police said.
