Mohegan Lake Bicyclist Possesses Xanax On Route 6, Police Say

A 33-year-old Mohegan Lake man was arrested and charged with possession of Xanax after police received a call of an erratic bicyclist early Sunday morning on Route 6.

Todd Rini was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 7th degree, a Class A misdemeanor after police investigated a report of a bicyclist swerving in and out of the roadway, police said.

After they discovered the Xanax, Rini was arrested and transported back to headquarters. Rini was released on his own recognizance and is due back in court on Nov. 30.
