Motorcyclist In Critical Condition Following Route 118 Crash In Somers

SOMERS, N.Y. -- A Peekskill motorcycle rider remains in critical condition after he and a Yonkers man were hit by a car in Somers on Thursday.

Jonathan Daniels, 25, of Peekskill, was riding with three other motorcyclists when Jonathan Welsh, 19, of Somers, backed out of a driveway on Route 118 (Tomahawk Street), striking two of the motorcycle riders, said New York State Trooper Melissa McMorris.

Daniels received critical injuries and was transported to Westchester Medical Center. The other rider, Richard Tota, 25, of Yonkers, received injuries to his arm. He was also transported to Westchester Medical Center, McMorris said.

Daniels remained in critical condition on Monday.
