Mount Pleasant Police Target Drag Racing After Injuries To Officers

MOUNT PLEASANT, N.Y. -- The Mount Pleasant Police Department is putting drag racing on the top of the priority list after two officers were injured while investigating a race earlier this month, according to a report in LoHud.com.

Mount Pleasant police are cracking down on drag racing.

The two officers tried to question a driver who was participating in the race, and when he took off during the questioning, the driver dragged them along, LoHud reported.

Both officers suffered head injuries that could been much worse, according to LoHud.
