Mount Pleasant Police: Vulgar Letter Makes Rounds

VALHALLA, N.Y. – The Mount Pleasant Police Department reported Monday that a number of female residents in town have received a sexually explicit letter in the mail from an unidentified sender. Police Chief Louis Alagno said that about a dozen women of various ages reported receiving the letter in the past week, mostly in the Valhalla area.

“The letter is very explicit, offensive and harassing” Alagno said. “It seems that it is the same letter and just addressed to different people.”

Alagno said an investigation is under way. He added that anyone responsible for the letter could be charged with aggravated harassment, a misdemeanor. Police encourage anyone who receives the letter to report it immediately to the Mount Pleasant Police Department by calling 914-769-1941.
