New Details Emerge In Death Of Westchester Man Suspected Of Killing Wife

New details have emerged in the apparent suicide of a 34-year-old Yonkers man identified by police as a person of interest in the homicide of his wife.

Yonkers Police officers were contacted Tuesday evening by Kingston Police, who said Brian K. Maniotis was located dead inside of Best Western hotel room there. His vehicle was also located at the scene.

Maniotis' wife, Christina Maniotis, 30, was found dead Monday in Yonkers.

"We don't believe there was any connection to Kingston other than it was a stop on the way to wherever he was going," Kingston Det. Lt. Thierry Crozier told HVNN.com. "It was self-inflicted injuries."

At approximately 3:18 p.m. Monday, members of the Yonkers Police Department responded to Sunnyside Drive to check on the welfare of a female resident.

A deceased female, later identified as Christina Maniotis was located inside of the apartment.

The Yonkers Police Department homicide investigation will continue until all evidence from the homicide scene at Sunnyside Drive in Yonkers is processed along with evidence from the apparent suicide scene in Kingston, Yonkers Police said.

Detectives from Yonkers responded to Kingston Tuesday night and were briefed by members of the Kingston Police Department.

Detectives and members of the Crime Scene Unit began an investigation and processing of the scene and classified the death as a homicide.
