A Northern Westchester man who owns a market in Orange County was charged with arson on Friday, according to City Police.
Officers responded to the call of arson in progress at Ahorra Ahora Marketplace on Broadway in Newburgh. An investigation along with the City of Newburgh Fire Department and the Westchester County Police Department Detectives K-9 unit resulted in the arrest of 43-year-old Jesus Cruz of Peekskill, police said.
Cruz was remanded to Orange County Jail without bail.
