Pleasantville Assault Case Reportedly Comes To A Close

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. -- A 32-year-old Pleasantville man from Guatemala who had been living in the country illegally has been convicted in the attempted rape of a 28-year-old woman in 2011, according to a Patch.com report.

Oswaldo Jacinto-Ordonez was arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents in May in Rhode Island. He pleaded guilty to attempted rape and strangulation charges in New York, according to the article.

He will reportedly be sentenced in January and faces eight years in prison.
