Pleasantville Man Among Three Charged After Theft Victim Hit By Car

Three Westchester men are facing multiple felony charges after allegedly robbing their victim of a cell phone and credit card and assaulting him with a vehicle, Yorktown Police said.

Police in Yorktown arrested 54-year-old Yorktown resident Carlos Sandoval-Alfaro, Ossining resident Elmer Mejia-Lopez, 22 and 26-year-old Pleasantville resident Jose Mejia-Lopez on Wednesday following reports of a domestic incident.

According to police, it is alleged that the three men forcibly stole their victim's belongings and intentionally struck him with a vehicle that was occupied by them, causing him to “sustain a physical injury.” The three men were brought in for questioning on Wednesday night and the Yorktown Police Department announced the arrest on Thursday.

Sandoval-Alfaro and the younger Mejia-Lopez were charged with felony counts of robbery, assault and criminal possession of stolen property. Jose Mejia-Lopez was charged with robbery and criminal possession of stolen property.

The three men were processed and arraigned in Town of Yorktown Court. They were all remanded to the Westchester County Department of Corrections in lieu of $25,000 cash bail or $50,000 bond. They are due back in court next week.
