Police: Sex Offender Who Violated Parole Moves To Pleasantville

VALHALLA, N.Y. -- Mount Pleasant Police announced a registered sex offender moved into Pleasantville last week.  The offender was previously convicted of violating his parole in 2011 when he visited the town pool in Valhalla, police said.

David McColl, 51, now resides at 100 Larry's Lane in Pleasantville, Mount Pleasant Police said. McColl was  registered as a sex offender in 2005 after he was convicted of sexual offenses committed in New Jersey. 

In July 2011, McColl was arrested by Mount Pleasant Police for being at the Mount Pleasant Town Pool in Valhalla, a violation of his conditions as a sex offender. He was sentenced to five years of probation.

Police said McColl has a history of luring female victims to his car and attempting to perform sexual acts. The ages of his three previous victims are two 14-year-old females and a 15-year-old female. All three victims were strangers.

McColl is considered a level 3 sex offender and a level 2 sexual predator, police said.

According to police, McColl stands at 6-1 and weighs 230 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes. He is also known to wear glasses.
