Rye Brook Police Chief Gregory Austin said the reported road rage incident that ended near King Street was exaggerated by media outlets who reported shots were being fired from a red pickup truck.

Austin said, "The report was made to the Westchester County Police that a weapon was displayed in a road rage incident on the Hutch. We located the suspect car as it exited the Hutch onto King Street. There was no weapon in the car, just a heated exchange between two drivers."

"There is a lot of misinformation being reported," Austin said. "It would be good to get the correct story out."
