Authorities went on the hunt for a suspect that may have been involved in an interrupted home invasion shortly after 9:30 a.m. when a woman found him in her home unlawfully.

Officials confirmed that police were dispatched to a Davenport Avenue home following a reported robbery, prompting a manhunt involving multiple law enforcement agencies, K-9 and Aviation Units from the Westchester County Police.

After forming a perimeter in the area, the suspect was apprehended behind a home on Rodman Oval when a local resident alerted officers, police said.

Trinity Elementary School and Isaac E. Young Middle School entered their lockout protocols for approximately an hour following the reports.

The suspect is described as a black male that is approximately 20 years old. He reportedly was caught on surveillance video peering into other homes in the area.
