Shortly after 2:45 p.m. on Friday afternoon, Westchester County police were dispatched to a market at Kirby Plaza in Mount Kisco following reports from an employee that a teenager had entered the store, put a can of beer in his pants and walked out.
Police said that officers reviewed surveillance video and tracked down the teen - whose name was not released because of his age - who was taken into custody after he was spotted walking on South Monger Avenue. He was arrested and charged with a misdemeanor count of petit larceny.
The teenager was processed and released. He is due back in court later this year to answer the charge.
